Thinking of converting your PDF to JPG/TIFF/PNG for whatever reasons ?
You can download/install ImageMagik if you like.
But if you are in rush , just open your PDF with GIMP , and save it as any file format you like.
Easy isn’t it ?
.bin is a BINARY file.
.bin is a VCD file. It usually come with another .cue file.
If you want to watch movie with this format, using mplayer or xine , totems etc, you have to convert these files.
The easiest method is to burn this type of file to a cd , before you can watch it.
Come VLC to the rescue.
VLC can read .bin file format directly. No ned to convert. no need to burn cds.
VLC safe my day! Now I can watch my movie.
I got another problem with DRM + wmv movie file.
I will put tips how I solve this in next post ; On linux of course .

I am planning to upgrade my network this few days. My current network diagram look like Diagram 1

Currently , I got 2 seperated room [ 2 blocks actually ] , seperating my SOHO network to two . One is at room 1 , and another is at room 2.
Most of my network equipment , phone lines, modems, access-point etc , are actualy at room 1. ‘Client 1’ with Win XP, can access internet easily , while I am at room 2 , accesing internet via my Linux Ubuntu Laptop equip with wi-fi internal adaptor.
At room 2 , I also have a client PC for my kids (Win) , and a Slack Linux database server for my internal and RnD use.
Now , I am thinking of making some changes to my current network . I am planning so that my internal server , and client kids with win XP pc can also access the internet.

The easiest method , is to spend some bucks , around RM300 , and bougt two wifi client adaptor and place it at my Client 2 and server . But the challenge is trying to save some $ here. 🙂
Theoritically ,I can achieve this after I remap the IPs and manipulating some iptables script at my Ubuntu Laptop.
Will update later after success. 🙂

Easy gadget , since I’m planning to do some php upload script to arrange my driver and application files.
some goodies for this class , the author claimed it will be easy to manipulate image files.
It is the ideal class to quickly integrate file upload in your site. If the file is an image, you can convert, resize, crop it in many ways. You can also apply filters, add borders, text, watermarks, etc… That’s all you need for a gallery script for instance. Supported formats are PNG, JPG, GIF and BMP.
So I put here first , and will do some review / test later. 🙂

Metatrader is available under WINE , but it so memory hog , and not at productive level. Marketiva is far away from supporting their GStreamer under linux.
Is there any good trading paltform under linux ?

Currently I’m using Liferea and very satisfied with it . No bugs and very stable.
